Bob Dylan awarded Pulitzer Prize

(NODEPRESSION.NET) -- Columbia University in New York City announced today that among its Pulitzer Prize winners for 2008 is one Bob Dylan.

The legendary songwriter received a "Special Citation" award from the Pulitzer Board, which cited "his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."

It was the first-ever Pulitzer for Dylan.
